Creating with Creative Memories

Hi, it’s Connie Nichol here today with a scrapbook layout I created using the November sketch from the Canadian Scrapbooker sketchy challenge  and some of the new Creative Memories products.    A couple of years ago I participated in a hummingbird photography workshop in British Columbia.   It was an absolutely amazing experience and I have enough hummingbird photographs to last me several lifetimes.

I used patterned paper from the Creative Memories ‘Brights’ designer paper pack and the Bubbles Border Maker to dress up my paper edges a little bit.  The Creative Memories Border Maker System is very unique – you slide your paper into a positioning guide where it is firmly held by a magnet and then you move a punch cartridge stepwise down the paper edge.  The cartridges are interchangeable so you can easily swap out different cartridges for different borders.

To make my picture pop, I used dimensional foam adhesive from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.  I used one layer of foam adhesive for the triangle of patterned paper, and then doubled the layers of foam adhesive for the photograph.  It’s a little thing but it makes a difference.

For my flower and vine embellishment, I used this Bigz die from Sizzix.  A die like this is so versatile – you can add extra leaves, flowers and vines to customize your layout until it’s exactly how you like it.

Awesome PHOTO!!! And I love how you worked the sketch. The matted triangles and the border punched pieces really pump this LO up a notch: or TWO!
