OH SO CANADIAN

Kim here from my super-HOT scrapbooking room! [Note to self: when the furnace dies…air conditioning goes in at the same time as the new furnace!]

Tomorrow we celebrate Canada Day from East to West and in between! Our big, beautiful country is so worthy of its 148th celebration! I felt it appropriate to create a scrapbook page in honour of Canada!

As I mentioned…it is hot in my house! I scrapbook on the upper level of our house & hot air rises! I had a hard time staying focused in the heat, so my layout is pretty simple…quick to put together!

I started by using Core’dinations cardstock for my base& mat. I cut the SIZZIX maple leaf for my Canada flag. I used DCWV cork sheets for the red components of the flag…I love the texture!

For the center of the flag I printed out the lyrics of the Canadian anthem, and kept repeating them to cover the size needed.

The remaining elements of the page were created using CTMH stamps from the “Brushed Workshop to go” and CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge.

I adhered the word “CANADIAN” using a technique shared on a previous Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine Webisode; using Sookwang Be Creative tape for detailed, dimensional adhesive.

Here’s to a HAPPY BIRTHDAY CANADA! Go out and celebrate, take pictures…scrapbook a page!
