WHERE YOU CREATE with Cindy Allen

So here we are…the last Friday in August! Where did the time go? I hope you made some great memories with your family this summer. Let’s hope for lots of nice weather in our near future! Starting next week, our school aged kids will start to trickle back into the school system; some not until after Labour Day weekend. Regardless, we will hear the moaning of kids all over Canada as we pull the out of bed EARLY! Have fun with THAT!!!

This week Cindy Allen lets us peek into her creative space…

I have been scrapbooking for 10 years. During this time I have scrapbooked in my dining room, kitchen and pretty much where ever I could find a spot!

My husband and I have been at this home for two years. When we first saw it, I noticed the room off the living room and knew it would be an awesome scrapbooking room! It has a huge window and lots of space. The previous owners had painted it yellow; it’s such a nice, bright room! I have changed it up a few times, but the way it is now is best. I can still hear my husband and watch TV with him.

I love zebra prints! I have some boxes and have covered tin cans with zebra material for storage.

I put the ribbon up after seeing my friend Bonnie’s wall on your blog. I have struggled with ribbon storage since I started scrapbooking and this by far, is my favorite.

My wooden shelves are from an old dresser. I display gifts, swaps and sentimental items, like my wedding bouquet, dried flowers from my husband and my signed picture from Tim Holtz (I got that at a scrapbooking fundraiser).

My husband Bill is awesome with helping me put my ideas into place. I have a 6 foot Clip it Up which is great! I can see everything I have. Storing stuff in drawers is tough for me as I forget what I have.

My work space is a 6 foot long folding table. I LOVE how much room I have as I am a spreader! I don’t like to put things away until I have completed the project I have been working on.

This is my space where I create! Thanks for taking the time to have a look.

What a great crafty space. Love the ribbons but my favorite is the Rub With Scissors sign!

I could definitely scrap in your room, loving the open spaces. I too have too much stored in drawers and forget about all the unique stash I have to play with. Oh well, at least I have stash! Have fun creating.

I’m jealous of your space Cindy. At the same time, it gives me hope that some day I may enjoy a full scrapbook room on the main floor of our home. Thanks for sharing.

I love the 6 foot CLIP it UP – I am one of those people that have most of my stash in drawers.

I print most of my LOs. I make albums to show them off when we have viitsors. I make LOs for scrapbooks for my great grands on their birthdays. I make them to see, not just keep on computor. I am thinking of investing in an wide bed printer. Have a Great day!
