Where You Create with Rebecca Daly

Sometimes life gets busy and before you know it weeks have gone by without a Where You
Create blog post. Like many of you, summer holidays allows us limited precious time with our
families, having fun, enjoying warmer weather and sometimes letting go of a few to-dos so we
can just – BE. With summer and a few scrapbook carnivals behind us, it is time to get back to
blogging about the things that make us happy!
Lets get back into the groove of Where You Create!

Where You Create
When I first saw Rebecca Daly’s scrapbooking space I knew we had to share. Scrapbooking is a
passion for of us. Passionate people will do what they have to in order to eek out the time and
space to “feed the need”. Rebecca is proof of this for sure! I Love her ability to make it all work
without a dedicated scrapbook room! HATS OFF TO YOU!

I am proof that you can scrap ANYWHERE.

As you can see I don’t have a designated scrap room, so I scrap on the kitchen counter
(this is typically what the kitchen looks like when I am creating). You can even see
the Crockpot (we LOVE our Crockpots too) on the stove, as I was cooking dinner that
night.
I keep my supplies at the end of the hallway, in a multi-coloured storage cart on wheels
[picture 2] (although I don’t roll it around anymore as I have multiple boxes and supplies
on top of the cart which makes it a little top heavy) so I take out the bins as I need them.

I keep my paper in the laundry room. On the shelves above the washing machine I keep
my paper totes as well as my cricut, thread/sewing supplies, and layouts that need to be
put into albums ( right now i just have a huge pile of completed layouts)…

I admire your organization and ability to put it all away when you need the space for other stuff – my scraproom is a disaster because it can be – and it just sits there accumulating more unused items. Bravo to you!

This is the real deal isn’t it? I too started at the kitchen table. Thank Goodness for crock pots and understanding family. Keep smiling and creating.

Well, good for you to create even when you have no special place to work. But, I must say if anyone deserves a make over I think you do. Good work having a stack of completed layouts. a

That is so great! I waited since 1999 to have my own scrap room and now I have one since the last six months but I remember where I used to scrap, on the kitchen table like you and I also stored my materials everywhere, even in my kitchen cabinets. My hat’s off to you :-).
