A Not-So-Scary Halloween Layout

Hi Everyone…or should I say, “Happy Halloween!” It’s Kelly here to share a layout.

Do you have you have your costumes ready and spooky décor around the house?  I know I have some cobwebs here and there! ha ha ha

Here is a Halloween layout I designed using Simple Stories’ fun “Frankie and Friends” collection, along with some awesome Sizzix dies.

SUPPLIES: Simple Stories papers; American Crafts Glitter paper; Sizzix dies and Big Shot; Gelly Roll pens; Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L E-Z Runner; Beacon Adhesives; Westcott Trimmer and scissors

I based my design on Sue Sykes’ October Sketch. Have you been playing with her sketches and uploading your layouts to our Sketchy gallery?

Here are the three Sizzix dies I used:

I die cut them from American Crafts glitter paper… love the sparkle!

Beacon Adhesives is great for adhering these pieces:

I bent the bat wings for added dimension and just glued their heads down.

With white and black markers, I added faux stitching around the title and other cut paper elements.

It’s never too late to create a layout based on any of the sketches and sharing them in the Gallery. The November sketch will be posted on the 1st, so come back to check it out then.

Happy Crafting!
